Cis people need to understand a lot of trans people want to tear everything down right now. Our demographic is too small for meaningful votes; you come to us for optics, coercing us into a system that celebrates, funds, and institutionalizes our abuse so that you look good.

When or if trans people do not show up to the polls, you will blame trans people. When or if cis people do not show up to the polls, you will blame trans people. You will not self-reflect. You will not blame the transphobic cop or the senile rapist. You will blame trans people.

Transgender people in prison -- men's or women's -- cannot vote. Homeless trans people will not be mailed absentee ballots. This is the system both parties will expand. My brothers and sisters are dying. Representation is a trap which returns to degrade us.
