Sad but interesting to think about how statistically speaking there is likely a decent number of kids who grew up watching edgy content which joked about things like depression/suicide, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, & substance use disorders, who now have those exact disorders
I imagine this is why ppl start to get more of a stick up their ass about humor as they grow older. I still don’t think anyone should be censored, but I get it. _____ can be an uncomfortable or downright unrelateable issue to certain ppl so it’s easier to make light of bc it
Doesn’t feel as real & they don’t feel the direct impacts of said circumstance. It’s easy for me to make jokes about child labor or covid or something else that’s obviously not funny when I don’t directly have any association to the psychological trauma attached to that thing

How statistically speaking of the millions of fans he has, there are at least a couple who will see this video at like 8-12 years old, laugh hysterically, & then in a decade start to develop psychotic symptoms & suddenly hate this video despite telling ppl when they were young to
Kill themselves for not liking it. Seeing an entire generation of children growing up with a record of their life online is seriously one of the most inderratedly fascinating things abt the modern world that I think will be studied heavily as apart of our era
Also this thread isn’t me coming out as the joke police or a Puritan or anything, my comic/cartoon as well as my general day to day humor is filled to the brim with edgy jokes that I both have and don’t have psychological trauma connected to, I’m just saying I get both sides
