What I want to make clear before I continue this thread is that I am not attacking @USPS employees for the issues. The employee have been working their asses off in a dangerous time to get (often times) critical mail to people.

I am directly blaming Dejoy and Trump. They are willfully delaying the mail. It’s not even a secret anymore. And it’s illegal. Dejoy has cut overtime, instructed postal workers to leave the mail, and removed sorting machine.

Did you know that ONLY @USPS can deliver to a PO Box? Not UPS or FedEx.
Let me tell you why this is important... most government agencies use a PO Box as their mailing address. I can say for sure in the case of CA state disability insurance,

That the only way for patients to get forms to them in this pandemic is through @USPS. NO, they don’t have an upload option for patients. Only for doctors & if your doctor doesn’t have an account then you as the patient have to mail in the forms. You can’t go in to the SS office.

I am currently on disability. I used @USPS 2 day priority mail on July 28. As of yesterday it was still in the distribution center. That’s 15 days for something I paid to be delivered in two days. This has delayed my disability benefits.

I also get my medication through the mail, as do many people in this country. And it comes by @USPS It’s cheaper for me to do it this way, and the insurance covers the mail cost. That won’t happen if it has to be sent through UPS or Fedex, that cost will go to me.

Imagine being an elderly person on a fixed income paying $30 on top of the medication co pay to get it delivered. Many of whom have no option because of their health or transportation issues.

And just an additional FYI - @USPS offers other services such as cashiers checks/ money orders and passport applications. https://www.usps.com/international/passports.htm

So please, take a minute or two & go to the United States Postal Service Office of the Inspector General website and send your concerns and complaints. Contact Senator Warren with your story. Demand Dejoy be fired.
