i logged onto twitter after hours of posting this, i feel like i need to clarify some things for some people: i didn’t think this would blow up. my bf sent me money as joke bc of an Anik Khan tweet (the Bengali Rapper)

some people have been responding calling us “dumbasses” and taking the genocide lightly. in no way was this meant to make light of the history. my bf and i have frequent dialogues ab the history. he educated himself a lot to truly understand something the was never taught to him-

also the fact that other bengalis are getting mad at me for “making a joke of our genocide”... my pakistani bf is ACKNOWLEDGING the genocide on his country’s INDEPENDENCE. the money was bc of Anik Khan but my bf is literally thinking ab Bangladesh on the day of paki independence
