Was out in the street with daughter (who is practicing skateboarding under cover of darkness) in the rain with a G&T and we came across the most incredible thing. A Fox and a goose having a fight! In London!

I ran in the house to let the others know & by the time I got back...
...the goose had escaped thefox’s grasp but was wandering down the London street in a sort of goosy daze.
The goose looked a bit discombobulated & unwilling or unable to fly so we tried to catch it in a blanket to release in into the field at the back of our house (where geese have been vibin’ recently) but it was too fast& wily for us. The last I saw of it it was striding..
up the empty street, it’s sweet webbed feet slapping on the tarmac. Good luck sweet goose, safe travels...
This morning, no sign of him. I half expected to find an ominous pile of wet feathers in the street somewhere -I hope that means it made it to safety and it’s flock as it’s nearly time for them all to head south for winter. #gooseworries
