Labour has a difficult racism/prejudice problem period, and that hasn't actually changed, but it's so fucking transparent that we're getting the "I'm returning to Labour" articles once it's taken back over by the managerial centrist limpdick brigade. https://twitter.com/jamiesusskind/status/1294300658527502336
Yet again - nobody has yet to disprove James Schneider's account of a certain event (because he has the receipts) which corroborates the pattern of behaviour detailed in the leaked report, and now none of it will ever get tested in court either. https://twitter.com/schneiderhome/status/1285930615892840448
The organised (but often extremely lazy) effort to bury and discredit an 860 report citing over 1700 pieces of documentary evidence, means that the event detailed above (of which there are many) will not be the end, and the profoundly toxic culture in Labour's HQ will persist.
Labour is a more unsafe place as a result of trying to stick the knife in to Corbyn, by trying to destroy a report that tells more of a story than "jam man bad". It reveals a deeply dysfunctional working environment that doesn't care about an elected representative's mandate.
Does it vindicate Corbyn? Yeah, in a lot of it there's a very good case to be made he took antisemitism in the party a lot more seriously than certain senior party staffers, and put pressure on people like Iain McNicol to move faster in making the processes more efficient.
The results actually speak for themselves. After certain people are shuffled out of the GLU and McNicol is replaced by Jennie Formby as Gen Sec, the processes improved, and antisemitism expulsions began to speed up after the habitual feet-dragging detailed in the report ends.
But the report isn't about exonerating Corbyn. The factionalism is obviously included because of how much it was tied into the toxic culture at Labour HQ, but ultimately the report was compiled in order to be sent to the EHRC and is a comprehensive account of the GLU 2014-2019.
From my own experiences of dealing with the Labour complaints/disciplinary system and after speaking with others, there is far more work to be done in making it faster and more efficient. Complaints of a very serious nature aren't progressing, while menial ones are.
Pretending Labour is "safe" now - even with trepidation - because your favourite centrist empty suits are now leading the party, is just a lie.

And the party is more unsafe as a result of them and media chums trying to bury and discredit a report that would embarrass them.
