1st of many PSAs on voting in MO: If you 65 or over you can request absentee ballot for November and you do NOT need an excuse OR notary. If you you request a “mail in” ballot you do. Request an ABSENTEE ballot soon from your local election authority if you are 65 or over in MO.
You can drop your absentee ballot off in Missouri. But your mail in ballot MUST BE MAILED.
The Rs in MO have made this very confusing on purpose. 2 types of ballots available. Absentee (which requires excuse unless you are 65 or older) and Mail In (which does not require excuse BUT does require Notary). All Mail In ballots must be MAILED IN.Absentee can be dropped off.

That is from one election authority in Missouri. Don’t use those addresses or numbers unless you live in Jackson County (but not in Kansas City.)
But it helps explain the difference between absentee and mail in. Only people who dont want you to vote could make it this complicated.
