Expected meeting between US president “ @realDonaldTrump ” and @MAKadhimi in 20 of the current August

These are the most important points that are highlighted by some newspapers and observers:

-The mechanism and support of the security understandings between #Iraq and #US via joint cooperation, including the completion of the second round of the strategic dialogue between the two countries.

#Baghdad’s desire to sign a final agreement before starting the American elections marathon in the beginning of November.

Finding a strong ground to build a regional balance between #Baghdad and #Tehran and #Washington.

#Baghdad endeavors not to engage in the straggle between #Tehran and #Washington.

Baghdad continuous efforts to be as a neutral mediator between Iran and US due to Iraq’s location which compels Iraq to avert any problem in this struggle. These efforts come in the aftermath of expectations of new negotiation round between US and Iran managed by #Oman in Muscat.

Al-Kadhimi will discuss the possibility of reaching a final agreement to withdraw the American forces from Iraq gradually or to find out another mechanism to arrange it.

This agreement may be considered as a subsequent to the Strategic Framework Agreement (SFA) and the Status of Forces Framework (SOFA) which are enacted in 2008

I hope that Iraq can gain diplomatic and political results which can affect positively Iraq and the region.
