BREAKING NEWS (NBC): The 671 High-Speed Mail-Sorting Machines Trump Mega-Donor Louis DeJoy Has Removed From USPS Facilities Without Explanation Under 90 Days Before a Mail-in Election Sort 564 Million Pieces of Mail Daily (Not a Typo); Their Removal May Destroy the 2020 Election
PS/ DeJoy won't be questioned about this sabotage of a national election—which is part of a conspiracy to commit election fraud that should land both him and his boss (Trump) in federal prison—until September 17, *five weeks from now*, because Congress decided to take a vacation.
PS2/ The danger is that Trump is *publicly* creating the conditions for any election win by *him* to be deemed illegitimate by so many that it will cause civil society to collapse. If Trump wins because tens of millions of ballots got tossed, I don't know what happens to America.
PS3/ I just don't know what to say anymore. Trump is making the odds of a real election slim and doing it so publicly that if he wins and no one accepts it—and *millions* surround the White House in peaceful civil disobedience for *months*—America's collapse will be of his doing.
PS4/ Next steps:

1⃣ Congress must return from vacation *immediately*.
2⃣ An impeachment inquiry on DeJoy must begin now.
3⃣ A public education campaign on early voting must begin now.
4⃣ Alternate ballot-delivery systems (e.g. drop-boxes) must be immediately funded and deployed.
PS5/ NBC reported 671 machines that each sort 35,000 pieces of mail hourly as being removed; that's an hourly sorting total of 23.5 million pieces of mail. My initial tweet was intended to focus on daily sorting *capacity*—as we don't know how many hours/day the machines are run.
PS6/ It's perfectly fair to guess that not all these machines run all day. Perhaps each runs 4 hours/day, meaning that DeJoy has reduced U.S. mail-sorting by...

...94 million pieces of mail daily.

That's still enough election sabotage to make a mail-in election near-impossible.
PS7/ DeJoy is hiding *everything* about the removal and destruction of these multimillion-dollar machines, so all I or NBC News can do is talk about the lost daily mail-sorting *capacity*—without knowing how long the machines are running as part of USPS' 24-hour business model.
PS8/ I certainly apologize if describing the 24-hour capacity of machines used by the USPS as a central part of its 24-hour business model caused confusion. The danger to the election of even 94 million lost mail-sortings daily would be cataclysmic. It's *all* electoral sabotage.
