10: The Spins (KIDS)

I love this song. You can turn it on and it doesnt matter how I was feeling before, Imma be happy after it. Mac samples Empire of the Sun and raps a carefree verse about smokin weed and fucking your girl. Its classic. Its timeless. I love it so much.

9: Cinderella (TDF)

I love this song and its been there for some of my favorite romantic memories. Ty Dolla $ign does what he does best, and Mac raps about a blossoming love affair with the girl of his dreams over an absolutely flawless instrumental. Its a beautiful masterpiece.

8: Come Back to Earth (Swimming)

The lead single off Swimming gets me everytime, the opening bar “my regrets look just like texts I shouldn’t send” is beautiful. And the psychedelic instrumental puts you in a trance. Its a chilling start to my favorite project of all time.

7: Youforia (WMWTSO)

Holy fuck this song man. It just makes you feel like you’re floating. It makes me cry nearly everytime I hear it. The instrumental gives me a literal eargasm. Its emotional. Its beautiful. Its like Mac is ripping out his heart in the hopes that you will too.

6: Right (Circles)

This is a song about missing the person you’re in love with and wanting to be with them. Mac sings about how, even though the relationship has issues, he wants to fix things because when it’s right, it’s right. I relate to this song a lot, its helped me a lot.

5: Surf (Circles)

Another song I relate to a lot, Surf has beautiful production and Mac sings about personal growth, and again fixing things with somebody you love. “The whole world is open, a playground for me and you” & “gotta get going before im gone” break my heart everytime

4: Perfect Circle / Godspeed (GO:OD AM)

This track ruins me, especially now that Mac isn’t here. He spits lines about his drug addictions and how if he doesn’t change, his fate will be death. The song is eerie and a terrible insight at the problems that haunted him to the end.

3: 2009 (Swimming)

The production is amazing on this song. The strings are beautiful, and then Mac raps a carefree verse, and the line “it ain’t 2009 no more, yeah, I know what’s behind the door” again alludes to his struggle with addiction and his want to change. It ruins me.

2: Good News (Circles)

1/2 This song feels like Mac is telling us that its ok, he’s happier now. The light guitar plucks are beautiful when paired with a Mac verse about self care & acceptance. A verse about how tired he is, and about how everybody hates when he’s sad but

2/2 they’re uncomfortable when he’s doing well too. The most chilling line of all is when Mac says “There’s a whole lot more waiting, I know maybe I’m too late I could make it there some other time.” It’s as if he somehow knew his time was coming to an end. I love this song.

Dunno (Swimming & Spotify Studios)

1/3 I decided to group both versions at the top, I love them both so much. The album version features chilled out production that makes you feel sky high, while the Spotify version features an acoustic piano backing. Mac raps about a love lost,

2/3 most likely Ariana, and I personally relate to this song more than any other. Mac wishfully sings “wouldn’t you rather get along” and “we could spin that wheel” indicating he wants to take another chance at a relationship that had ultimately failed. I think this song is

3/3 absolutely amazing. I love literally everything about both versions and the acousic version with Mac’s voice over a piano breaks me down everytime. It is not only my favorite Mac Miller song, it is my favorite song of all time. Its perfect. Totally & completely perfect.
