My most recent - and successful - @RoamResearch workflow for working through books...

A mix and match of what @soenke_ahrens, @Conaw, @cortexfutura, @shuomi3, @anthilemoon, and @nateliason have taught me.
A quick thread

1. I highlight books/papers very abundantly on Kindle for Mac. The experience on the Mac app was much better for me, and reading on my work desk has given me more "reading stamina" since I feel less sleepy.
2. I paste the copious highlights (and some notes taken right on Kindle) on a Roam page, and then re-read them, creating new notes/pages for important concepts. I place the new notes/pages created while working on a book in a block called "New pages::"
4. On the new pages/notes, I often create a block called "In [[Name of the book]]:" and "/block embed" important quotes:
4.1 This new pages/notes may get other quotes from other sources in the future. This is what a "mature" note in my Roam looks like:
5. In case you're wondering, I do create a Metadata:: block on my book pages. I just haven't gotten there yet with this one :)
Cheers, and end.
