Today’s FPL Price Reveals
With the reveal of some FPL player prices today, here is a thread I’ve spent all day putting together on those players.
Midfielders I’m considering:
1. De Bruyne MCI £11.5m
2. Sterling MCI £11.5m
3. Salah LIV £12.0m
4. Fernandes MUN £10.5m
5. Pulisic CHE £8.0m*
Forwards I’m considering:
1. Werner CHE £9.5m
2. Ings SOU £8.5m
Others:
1. Pope GKP BUR £5.5m
2. Mane MID LIV £12.0m
3. Traore MID WOL £6.5m
4. Lallana MID BHA £6.5m
5. Hernandez MID LEE £6.0m
6. Soucek MID WHU £5.0m
7. Berge MID SHU £5.0m
8. Vardy FWD LEI £10.0m
9. Richarlison FWD EVE £8.0m
10. Ayew FWD CRY £6.0m
Kevin De Bruyne MID MCI
Revealed price: £11.5m
Playing position: CAM
Appearances: 35
⚽️ 13 goals 🅰️ 20 assists
Per game: 👟 2.0 shots 🔑 3.9 KPs
🎨 33 big chances created
De Bruyne (29) was FPL’s top point-scorer in 19/20, with 251 points. His 33 goal involvements also made him the player with the most attacking returns. De Bruyne created the most big chances and had the highest KPpG in the league, which emphasises his creativity.
Raheem Sterling MID MCI
Revealed price: £11.5m
Playing position: LW
Appearances: 33
⚽️ 20 goals 🅰️ 1 assist
Per game: 👟 2.1 shots 🔑 1.5 KPs
🎨 9 big chances created
Sterling (25) was the 4th top goalscorer in the PL 19/20. At City, he created the 4th most BCs, and only Jesus & Aguero had a higher SpG. Sterling started 30 games, the most out of the City attackers.
With De Bruyne and Sterling both priced at £11.5m, FPL managers have a big decision to make. I’m leaning slightly towards KDB, as the SpG are very similar and he is miles ahead in KPpG. KDB may also be City’s main penalty-taker. However, Sterling will certainly score more goals.
Mohamed Salah MID LIV
Revealed price: £12.0m
Playing position: RW
Appearances: 34
⚽️ 19 goals 🅰️ 10 assists
Per game: 👟 2.8 shots 🔑 1.8 key passes
🎨 13 big chances created
Salah (28) was the top points-scorer in FPL 17/18 and 18/19. He was the 5th top goalscorer and 4th top assister in the PL 19/20. Salah also took the most shots per game and created the 5th most big chances in the league. At Liverpool, only TAA made more key passes per game.
I’m not considering Mane for my team as they are both £12.0m. Salah has consistently out-scored Mane over the last 3 seasons, and takes LIV’s penalties when Milner isn’t on the pitch. Milner only played 27% mins in the PL 19/20, and he’s not expected to start regularly in 20/21.
Bruno Fernandes MID MUN
Revealed price: £10.5m
Playing position: CAM
Appearances: 14
⚽️ 8 goals 🅰️ 7 assists
Per game: 👟 2.6 shots 🔑 2.2 KPs
🎨 3 big chances created
Fernandes (25) recorded some great stats at United. Per game, only De Bruyne made more assists, and only Salah took more shots. Fernandes also featured in the PL Top 10 for GpG & KPpG. He’s the penalty-taker at MUN, the team which received the most penalties in the PL 19/20 (14).
FPL are yet to reveal the prices of United’s other attacking assets: Rashford, Martial and Greenwood. I will be making my decision once all of their prices have been revealed.
Christian Pulisic MID CHE
Revealed price: £8.0m*
Playing position: LW
Appearances: 25
⚽️ 9 goals 🅰️ 4 assists
Per game: 👟 1.9 shots 🔑 1.2 KPs
🎨 6 big chances created
* price reveal tweet has been deleted, possibly meaning there was a mistake - could be priced higher
Timo Werner FWD CHE
Revealed price: £9.5m
Playing position: ST / LW
Appearances: 34
⚽️ 28 goals 🅰️ 8 assists
Per game: 👟 2.9 shots 🔑 1.6 KPs
🎨 14 big chances created
* statistics from Bundesliga
Werner (24) was the 2nd top goalscorer in the Bundesliga 19/20, with only Lewandowski scoring more. He also featured in the Bundesliga Top 10 for assists and big chances created. Werner is expected to play at ST in a very threatening Chelsea attack, and could be on penalties.
FPL are yet to reveal the price of Chelsea’s other attacking asset, Ziyech. They could also sign Havertz before the season begins. I will be making my decision once all of their prices have been revealed.
Danny Ings FWD SOU
Revealed price: £8.5m
Playing position: ST
Appearances: 38
⚽️ 22 goals 🅰️ 2 assists
Per game: 👟 1.7 shots 🔑 0.9 KPs
🎨 2 big chances created
Ings (28) was the joint 2nd top goalscorer in the PL 19/20. He proved to be the best FWD that began the season under £9.0m, with only Vardy and Aubameyang scoring more points than him. He ended the season as the most popular FWD in FPL, selected by 31.4% of teams.
Nick Pope GKP BUR
Revealed price: £5.5m
Appearances: 38
Per G: ⚽️ 1.3 conceded 🧤 3.2 saves
🧤 Save percentage: 71%
🛡 15 clean sheets
Pope (28) was the top points-scoring goalkeeper in FPL 19/20, with 170 points. He finished just one clean sheet away from sharing the golden glove with Man City’s Ederson.
With a £4.5m set-and-forget GKP likely to be the most popular strategy, Pope will probably be in less teams in 20/21. FPL managers will be searching for cheaper ways into the Burnley defence. Their full-backs could prove to be popular picks, expected to be priced at £5.0m.
You may be surprised to see that I’m not considering Traore or Vardy. This is because of team structure, as mentioned in my first thread. Currently, I’m thinking that I’ll start the season with 4 premium MIDs. That means saving money elsewhere: £4.5m 5th MID & only 1 FWD >£8.0m.
