When addressing food insecurity, I often come across people concerned that families will "double dip" (access hampers/meals from more than one source), or receive more than they need. a) in my experience people living with scarcity make an effort to take only what they need.
and b) those who are able to (and do) stock up their pantries shouldn't be concerned that those who are struggling to feed themselves + their families might try to do the same.
Besides the dignity and reassurance that comes with having food in your kitchen, those who are only able to shop for small quantities at a time, or are forced to go out in search of food daily, have a far higher risk of exposure.
