"Now that she's in the media spotlight." Oh, my. đŸ˜±
"Now that you've, accidentally and inexplicably landed in the spot that I deserved, but was unfathomably denied, perhaps because I'm too brilliant, let me give you some advice on what you should do, which you wouldn't know since this cannot be due to your talent, work or smarts."
That was subtext to text! There is no woman with a modicum of success who is not familiar with this advice guy, but still jarring to see you could be one of the most talented politicians of your generation—something acknowledged across the political spectrum—and still get this.
"Now that she's in the media spotlight". Failing to remember a better example of a contrived attempt to explain away remarkable success as having little to do with the person—just something that landed on them—and what that cognitive dissonance combined with arrogance will do.
Anyway, if one were *actually* more successful or advanced in a field & wanted to mentor someone from a more marginalized group: "I noticed your great work and I'd be happy to share any lessons I learned along the way if they'd be useful to you. Ping me anytime!" Then wait. Done.
