From our sun, we receive some invisible light

The following video explains the types of UV-rays and the level at which they can affect our bodies.
Spending too much time under UV-rays OVER TIME can cause skin cancer.

Even though UV-C rays can hurt our bodies& #39; cells more, we have a superhero who lives up in the sky who DOES NOT let it reach us. She also decreases the amount of UV A and B rays that do reach Earth& #39;s surface.
Her name is ... *drumroll please* ... Ozzy the Ozone Molecule! (image source: https://tinyurl.com/y5yll2r3 )">https://tinyurl.com/y5yll2r3&...
Ozzy makes a protective air blanket, called the ozone layer, in our sky that blocks the UV-rays before they reach the Earth& #39;s surface ...But, Ozzy is in dangerhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😣" title="Standhaftes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Standhaftes Gesicht">
Why do you think Ozzy is in danger?https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⛽️" title="Benzinpumpe" aria-label="Emoji: Benzinpumpe">
We are sending too many gases to Ozzy& #39;s home, such as CO2 and methane when we use electricity, drive a car, use a bus or plane, or even when we grow animals for food (partly because they fart a lothttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😜" title="Winking face with tongue" aria-label="Emoji: Winking face with tongue">). This hurts Ozzy and so her ability to protect us from the UV-rays is less...
As a result...we are exposed to more UV-rays on Earth& #39;s surface. This makes us more prone to UV& #39;s damaging effects to our skin which can ultimately lead to skin cancer.
So...let& #39;s help Ozzy help us. Here are some things we can do right now to decrease the amounts of gas we release to Ozzy:
1. Walk/bike more
2. Eat less meat
3. Purchase from local markets

Also, don& #39;t forget to protect yourself from UV rays:
1. Regularly use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30
2. Avoid the sun during its peak hours (often from 10 AM - 4 PM)
3. Wear sun-protective clothes
