Filip Stevanovic - United's latest signing? 🇷🇸

A thread! ⭐️

#MUFC #Stevanovic
Stevanovic is about to join United an estamed fee of 15 Mio £ and will stay at Partizan for one more year on loan.

Despite being 17 years old, the Serbian already featured in 25 league games (7 goals, 3 assist) and was also part of the squad in the EL.
The 17-year old is extremely talented, what is really easy to say. As soon as he gets the ball, you can see a lot of potential in everything he does and you'll be even more amazed, if you see where he does it: In Serbia. A league, that really isn't known for dribblings.
The winger is extremly agile, quick and coordinates himself quite nicely, while combining all of this with a lot of football iq + excellent ballcontrol.

He knows how to time his moves, when it's the right time to step and accelerate in his dribblings.
Stevanovic likes to dribble a lot and tries to provoke as many 1vs1 as possible. And well, he does have a lot of fun in those and likes to nutmeg his opponent a lot - but in an efficient way.

As mentioned earlier: He knows how to time his moves!
But he's still a threat to the opponents goalkeeper. Stevanovic likes to cut inside and show off his really interesting shooting technique.

He reminds me of Ousmane Dembele and not just because of this beautiful goal he scored:
His shooting technique is already on high stage in terms of development. His shotpower and accuracy are really threatening, while he could need a bit more composure and sometimes consistency in front of the goal.

With more experience, he'll be deadly right here.
Many great dribblers exist, but what makes Stevanovic really special aside from his efficiency and end-product is his intelligence. He likes to support his teammates and comes towards multiple times to generate a certain dynamic to the game, while offering runs inbehind afterwards
His passing game is interesting, but still really raw. It isn't his job to do a lot of key-passes in the game and he shows off his potential sometimes, but isn't outstanding right here. Definitely something he has to work on.

Against the ball he's decent.
He's still very raw and needs one, if not two, steps in his development, but potentialwise this is an excellent signing for United and i can't wait to see him playing in the PL.

A loan-back definitely was the right decision for the player and both clubs.
*Edit:

He's also both-footed. Stevanovic prefers his right foot sometimes, but definitely is more than just solid with his left. An extremely dangerous skill in todays world of football. Especially for goal-scoring-wingers.
