When will we learn that we cannot hide from coronavirus? It's not a question of if you are exposed but when, and when that happens, how metabolically healthy you are.
And with metabolic health as a key determinant in your ability to combat this virus, wouldn't it be important to know what promotes this and decreases it?
We are a population in the U.S. with rapidly increasing rates of obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease despite more exercise, less smoking, and less alcohol consumption. Our food is making us sick...
We eat less sugar, grain, red meat, and carbohydrates than 20 years ago, but metabolic health continues to decline...
I strongly believe the culprit is our vastly increased consumption of linoleic acid from vegetable oils, and fat from animals fed on corn and soy (non-species appropriate diets).
Coronavirus isn't a superbug, it's simply exposing what we already knew- we are profoundly unhealthy. To ignore this much greater pandemic will be the greatest tragedy of them all.
