Question:
Anyone who wasn't sure if they wanted to be a PI when they were a postdoc and now is a PI? What was that decision-making process for you?

I feel like any postdoc I know who wants to be a PI is very confident in that desire and I am.. not

I know what research I would propose and the questions I'd want to explore, it's more so the bureaucracy balanced with other admin demands vs pay and concern that I'll be spread so thin I'll very likely let someone down that I should've better supported that makes me so hesitant.
