I'm a bit uncomfortable about this given that Ortberg (who's still, as I understand it, under investigation by his church) wrote the Foreword for this book and is a key part of it.

I understand that John Mark Comer and Ortberg aret different people, but given the book's focus on wisdom and slowing down, maybe a wise call and a slow down here would be a good idea?

At the very least, why not wait for the investigation (if its still ongoing) to conclude? 2/5

Given that Comer writes "John is the kind of person you meet and immediately think, I want to be like that when I grow up" AND there's a Willow Creek link, I'd REALLY want to see some slowing down and waiting before @bigchurchread kicks off.

LOVES the church, LOVES books, and LOVES publishing. I also say this as someone who is a sinner, has been caught, and cares deeply that the way we conduct ourselves has integrity.

As it stands, investigation in progress, I hope things just slow down a bit. 4/5

Of course, if someone can point me to the results of the investigation that exonerate Ortberg, then I'd obviously retract everything I'm saying and apologise to both John's for raising it. But I think it's important, so there's this thread.
