3 hours with the @PlayAvengers beta on pc. I see the appeal. I like the character progression and loot. Technical issues and gameplay quirks throw me off a bit. Gonna just put this down til full launch instead of spinning my wheels in a beta. We will see.

I worry that by not committing to always online live service but still presenting it as if it were one (so many folks in chat had no idea you could play alone), signals may be crossed for what this game wants to be.

Also, small technical annoyances, such as damage numbers sometimes popping up and most other times not is VERY confusing as a fan of action RPGs. Considering there are so many stats and upgrades and gear pieces, not seeing numbers all the time feels weird. Hopefully just a bug.

Combat felt great. Probably the best part. And once the "servers" smooth out I imagine gameplay with buds will feel rewards to do team combos on. But playing alone with AI felt flat and lonely TBH.

Like I said tho. Definitely will check out final product. I love the source material. Hopefully things get ironed out. Looking forward to seeing how it feels with buds.
