"Everything happens for a reason."

On the surface this sounds nice. It's positive and even sounds like faith.

But if we get super real, here's what that says:
"God orchestrated that horrible, traumatic and evil event so He could do this other good thing."
I get the sentiment. But a god like that doesn't deserve to be worshiped.

The truth is that God doesn't need evil in order to be good.

A more accurate way to understand suffering was explained by Joseph:
"What was intended for evil God repurposed for good."
-Gen 50:20
So when bad things happen, remember this:

God is NOT to blame.

And if you stay faithful, trusting in His goodness, you will see how He can work through you to make incredibly beautiful things out of the darkest and most hopeless situations.
