Ultimate twitter. If you wanted to become the best thrower you could between now and tryouts. What would be your ideal daily /weekly routine? Yes, we have to consider the pandemic and lack of playing opportunities. Be specific.
I assume some form of throwing everyday and journaling is a given. Whats the ideal amount of time? Is it just what you can lend focus to? What about filming yourself? How many throws to be focused on at a given time to get better at?
I am thinking of writing down real in game sequences, and running them out in a field. Visualizing each moment, self catching and delivering the throw.
Filming and getting feedback is obvious. How much is too much? Some throws need to be honed for repeatability. Some throws need to be stripped down to their bare bones and reworked entirely.
Whats the best way to simulate breaking a mark. A bike? A pool noodle man? Wacky inflatable tubed man guy thing?
If solo throwing, would I want a stack of 25 discs? Is going for 25 throws in a row that look the same too lofty, require too much mental focus? Would 10 be better, would 100?
How do I mentally prepare for game reps without opportunities? How do I learn accurately what my ability is before tryouts to play "my game".
Do I spend one day on working on one throw? Do I not move on until I feel like progress is made? Do i work on the same throw 10 times in a row then move on? Do I mix it up somedays? What is important here?
I do not ask these questions without having some answers for myself. But its nice to go blank slate and see what people say. Yes, I'm over thinking it. Any one process won't fit everyone. But its fun to brainstorm and see what people think.
