On this day 17 years ago, I was watching Freaky Friday in theaters when the power went out right as Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were about to switch back into their own bodies. Literally as the lights started shaking in the movie the Northeast Blackout started.

We thought it was part of the movie until some staff came in with free snacks and said they'd get the generator going. They did, we watched the last bit (which is the most important part because Lindsay sings the song "Ultimate") and had no idea this power outage was a Big Deal

Anyway I later saw Freaky Friday in theaters at least four more times, the soundtrack absolutely slaps, the movie is criminally underrated and 17 years later I feel like Lindsay Lohan in Jamie Lee Curtis' body
