firstly i wanted to say a huge thank you for signing the petition to keep community captions and also for spreading awareness on this problem. it honestly means a lot to all of the people affected by these changes

but as we can probably guess from team youtube's reply, they still intend on going through with their idea, and this, obviously, raises some concerns and i felt like it would be better to talk them through with you to know your stance on the problem

i'm writing this thread not only to express my personal concerns but also concerns of people, who have also been pretty consistent with working on your captions for quite a while to make your content more accessible for people all over the world

as you most definitely know, as soon as community contribution feature is gone all of the captions, that will not have been published by 28th of september will also be gone. so we wanted to ask you, if you have some time to spare, to go through the captions ~

and publish as many as you can. and if that's possible could you also maybe tell @danielhowell about this so he could do the same thing with his own channel? that would honestly mean a lot to us

and another thing we wanted to discuss – could you pretty please give us some sort of a heads-up when you decide on what to do with the captions after the 28th of september. if you don't know yet we just wanted to let you know that~

we would love to keep on working on your captions further on be it via uploading .srt caption files to a google drive folder in due time or via any other method you deem appropriate.
