so hard to find yoongi-centric fics that are not centered around misunderstandings and/or the blanket ‘min yoongi is bad at feelings’ tag.

somebody’s been asking me for recs and i can only drop on classics because now im perusing the tags and it’s why does majority of them have angry yoongi

can we get a very non-emotionally stunted yoongi who’s just enjoying a very great time with the people he loves? can we get a non-mental exploration fic yoongi where he’s not tortured with ‘demons in his mind’ and insecurities? :(

i feel like an ass whenever i complain about fics because i know of the great effort that is utilized in order to produce stories, but sometimes we always forget to actually care for the character in the story itself and not just use them as a tool of projection.

man the things yoongi get through in some of the draining fics, and the fact that he’s the member with the most of this type of content. make him happy in some stories, please. make him healthy.

also how everyone always throws the ‘fetishizing card’ to bottom yoongi writers when most bottom yoongi writers actually take into careful consideration how yoongi is portrayed in their stories, straying far from the tropes aforementioned.

yoongi bottoming doesn’t equate to happiness (lol), but i’m not lying when i say one of the things that turned me off of top yoongi fics is how he’s always written as callous and downright mean whenever he’s written as a top.

i think it all boils down to what we equate top/bottom dynamics with: always a masculine top and bottoms with feminine attributes. some writers actually bypass that stereotype!

it becomes very blurred to some, however, when yoongi is a main character. puzzling.

ah, well. i will never come up to anyone and say they need to change how they write. write what you want, but please stop bothering the bottom yoongi writers. :x
