Just across the Detroit River is Canada. Yes, if you live in SE Michigan you must learn the words to O, Canada! Sung at hockey games - of course.

Being so close to Canada, Detroit was also a hub for the underground railroad. Commemorated on the banks of the Detroit River is this wonderful international tribute to those efforts.
