Given our far too slow track record on "widening participation", as a matter of principle, @Cambridge_Uni should honour all existing offers made to state sector candidates regardless of result.

I am calling on my own college, @ChurchillCol to do so & I invite Fellows of other colleges to do the same. Honour the offers to state sector candidates.

If you are an alum of a particular college, write to them and ask them to honour their offers to all state sector candidates.

As someone said, we have long insisted that interviews give a key insight into a candidate that marks do not. On that basis, if a candidate has cleared interview or pool, the offer should stand.
