Sarah Vine - the wife of Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove - tells @LBC the idea people can be fined up to £3,200 is "bonkers".

"£100 is plenty. It doesn't need to be £3,200. It just sounds a bit mad, draconian, police state, doesn't it?"
She adds: "I already have to remember my keys, my phone, my tablets, my everything and now I have also got to remember my face mask.

"It's another thing that I am in danger of getting wrong in life."
On A-Levels, the Daily Mail columnist says it is has "not been a good week. It's this sort of 'computer says no thing'.

"The messaging has been very confused and chaotic.

"I personally think we should cut the kids some slack."
Vine: "I'd have placed more trust in teachers. By and I large they know what children are capable of and most of them don't exaggerate.

"What Nicola (Sturgeon) did was disingenuous. It's nice and handy to have a load of first time voters. It's opportunistic politically."
