Evil Ex #1: Matthew Patel. It’s so crazy that this is Satya Bhabha, who ended up being Shivrang on New Girl. I must have seen this movie a dozen times before Season 2 even started, and I have only recently put two and two together that it’s the same guy!!
The Seinfeld sitcom scene is just so much fun. Scott playing a bass makes for a very bass heavy score/soundtrack, and that’s just an iconic bass riff! Also, bacon... I miss eating bacon Omgosh. #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld
Evil Ex #2: I knew OF Chris Evans from the FF movies but I hadn’t seen either of him. I knew he had been casted as Cap but that wasn’t our for almost another year. THIS was the movie that really introduced me to him. And boy oh boy am I glad for it.

His intro with the Universal fanfare is hysterical! And of all the times I’ve ever been told I remind someone of him (which is STILL the greatest compliment I have ever received), this look/facial hair was the one that I felt I could pull of the best. #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld
Ohhh another person I had seen in this movie over and over but NEVER made the connection until later... Brie Larson!! I saw 21 Jump Street like who is this girl?! She’s the best!!! And lo and behold I had already known of her existence for two years! #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld

Also, at this point Anna Kendrick was just the OTHER Twilight girl. I hadn’t yet fallen in love with her from her awesome performance in 50/50... STILL one of the more underrated gems of the 2010s. So so good. #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld

My gosh this is so weird. Aubrey Plaza at this point was just the new funny person in Funny People and hadn’t become THE Aubrey Plaza yet (I didn’t start watching Parks and Rec until Season 3). This movie really introduced me to so many stars. I love it. #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld

Final Evil Ex: Jason Schwartzman! Funny enough, I ALSO was introduced to him in Judd Apatow’s Funny People but he didn’t really stick until this movie. Yes, I know I haven’t seen Slackers. Yes, I know I haven’t seen Rushmore. I WILL GET TO THEM! #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld
Speaking of people showing up in the same piece of pop culture... Robby from New Girl!!! I had just been introduced to Nelson Franklin in I Love You, Man, and I love him. I may not have liked Robbie as a character, but have you seen him in Veep? Amazing!! #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld
Also... since we are admitting things... I need to see Succession still. Sigh. I know. I saw this & thought Kieran Culkin was the Culkin brother from Signs and Home Alone all grown up. But no! He IS Fuller... but the Signs Culkin is Rory. SO MANY CULKINS! #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld

But in all seriousness, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the absolute best. I’m so glad I was introduced to her in this flick. She’s been a complete bamf ever since, with her roles in 10 Cloverfield Lane & most recently in Birds of Prey. Cast her in everything!! #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld
This is the kind of movie that makes me miss the era that was Michael Cera movies. Ever since Superbad, the dude’s awkwardness has been utter perfection. The only thing better than Michael Cera in your movie is Michael Cera AS Michael Cera in your movie. #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld

And the credits are rolling!!! My word. Such an enjoyable film. Edgar Wright’s style is so unique, and so my jam, that I will go to bed (5:18 YIKES!) and stay awake wondering how his Ant-Man take would have looked. Sigh. CANNOT WAIT FOR LAST NIGHT IN SOHO! #ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld
