in 1973 the nixon administration sued one of trump’s companies for refusing to rent to Black tenants and lying to them about whether or not apartments were open

in the 1980s a former employee of one of trump’s companies accused another one of his companies of ordering all the POC who worked the floor of his casinos whenever donald and his wife at the time ivana came to visit

in 1989 he took out an ad in multiple papers demanding that the Central Park 5 be sentenced to the death penalty for a crime they did not commit. in 2016 he said he still believed them to be guilty, despite their innocence already being proven long ago

in 1991 a former president of one of trump’s hotels claimed that trump had criticized a Black accountant that worked for him, saying he believed “laziness was a trait in blacks” and that the only ppl who should be counting his money is “short ppl in yarmulkes”

in 1992 the trump plaza and casino had to pay a $200k fine bc it transferred Black as well as female dealers off tables to accommodate an important gambler’s prejudices

in 1993 during a congressional testimony he said he believed that native american reservations shouldn’t operate casinos bc “they didn’t look indian” to him

speaking of indigenous americans, in 2000 trump secretly ran a series of ads suggesting that the St. Regis Mohawk tribe (which had been planning to open a casino) had a “record of criminal activity”

in season 2 of the apprentice in 2004 he fired a Black contestant named Kevin Allen for being over-educated, saying to him “you’re an unbelievably talented guy in terms of education but you haven’t done anything...at some point you have to say ‘that’s enough’”

in 2005 he publicly pitched a version of the apprentice that was “White People vs Black People”

in 2010 trump offered to buy out an area of land near ground zero that was proposed to have a muslim community center, arguing that “somebody’s blowing us up...blowing up buildings...and somebody’s doing a lot of bad stuff”

trump played a big role in 2011 of pushing the (racist) theory that obama wasn’t born in the united states, forcing obama to release his birth certificate

he launched his campaign in 2015 calling mexican immigrants rapists and criminals and when asked whether all of the 1.6 billion muslims in the world hated america he said “i mean a lot of them”

he also argued that a judge overseeing the lawsuit against trump university should recuse himself because of his mexican heritage and membership in a Latino lawyers association

djt is continuously horrifyingly slow to condemn racism and white supremacy, and regularly retweets messages from white supremacists and neo-nazis (“very fine people,” remember?)

he tweeted then deleted a picture of hillary clinton in front of a pile of money and the star of david and a caption calling her corrupt, which is so anti-semitic i shouldn’t have to say it

he repeatedly calls elizabeth warren pocahontas, which...even if her claims to native american ancestry are bullshit, that’s still racist as fuck

tweeted that several congresswomen of color (the women in the “squad,” namely) came from countries with “govts that are total catastrophes” and that they should go back to them

trump as repeatedly called the COVID-19 virus the “china virus” and “kung flu.” the WHO later advised against using phrases that link a country/region to the virus, saying it increases stigma. many asian americans have experienced racism bc of rhetoric like that of the pres.

repealed an Obama-era law that promoted desegregation in housing, tweeting that those living their “suburban dream” (meaning white ppl) wouldn’t be “bothered/hurt” by “low income housing built in your neighborhood” (meaning having POC) (1/2)

just TODAY he tweeted again about suburbia, saying the “suburban housewife” (meaning middle aged white women) will vote for him bc he would keep low-income housing (again, POC) from “invading” neighborhoods (2/2)

and finally, although this list will likely never end until he dies and probably a little bit after that, he suggested kamala harris (a Black and South Asian woman) “doesn’t meet the requirements to be VP,” once again promoting the racist conspiracy that is birtherism.
