Three quick thoughts on UAE:

1) Normalization is good for the whole region and the UAE deserves enormous credit. Let’s hope other countries follow. All Israelis will welcome it.

2) Annexation was always a disastrous policy and taking it off the table is the right thing to do.
3) BDS, anti-normalization has failed entirely as a campaign. Time to consign it to the dustbin of history.

4) Despite years of a sustained campaign from left & right, the two state solution remains the only viable long term solution & has come out of this process strengthened.
4) Palestinian rejectionism remains the main obstacle to diplomatic progress and their leaders need to urgently reassess their approach. Their strategy has failed. Come to the table, make a realistic offer, engage with reality as it is.
5) This deal isn’t finalized yet (and there are already some mixed messages). No-one should allow it to be derailed by pandering to their base or by the threats of extremists.

6) Netanyahu made the right call. Normalization for annexation is a no-brainer.
7) Finally, this doesn’t help us solve our huge economic, health, social and leadership crisis. We still have a million unemployed and one of the highest infection rates in the world. That’s the real lives of real people.
