1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4449: Trump FINALLY gets confronted about his chronic lying — Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence   #BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #EmotionalIntelligence #DonaldTrump #Lying #Deception #Lies #SVDate
2/ During the White House Press Conference today, Trump finally got called out regarding his chronic lying. What follows is a body language analysis regarding that crucial moment.
3/  S.V. Dáte (continuing at 35:05 in above video link): "Mr. President, after three and a half years, do you regret at all, all the lying you've done to the American people? On everything?"

Trump: [overtalking] "All the what?"

S.V. Dáte: "All the lying. All the dishonesties."
4/  Trump: "And who is that?"

S.V. Dáte: "YOU have done."

Trump: "Ah,..."

S.V. Dáte: "Tens of thousands."

Trump: [overtalking, calling on another jounalist] "Yeah, Go ahead. Please. Please."
5/ As Mr. Dáte says, "the lying", Trump's jaw juts forward. This Jaw Jut is caused by a surge in adrenaline as Trump realizes he's being directly called a liar in the White House. Please watch the video (at full & 1/2 speed) as it's not able to be fully seen w/ still images.
6/ Just after Mr. Dáte says, "dishonesties", Trump retracts his jaw, backward — further than his resting jaw would be positioned. His lips are closed.
7/ When this occurs, the tongue is pressed against the roof of the mouth, and a partial vacuum is temporarily formed in the mouth. This is a secondary reaction to fear and it suppresses associated nausea.
8/ Trump then, ignoring, Mr. Dáte's question & points to another reporter. After he says, "Please. Please.", Trump once again retracts his jaw indicating his fear, nausea, and temporary beta emotional tone. Trump is also attempting to emotionally distance via his eyelid closure.
9/ SUMMARY: After being directly confronted today — and asked about his voluminous, long-term lying to the American people by a journalist in the White House, Donald Trump displayed both fear and nausea.
