Mekakucity actors: A thread for the confused

So first off, What is Mekakucity actors? Mekakucity actors is a 2014 anime animated by studio shaft, its about a shut in named Shintaro Kisaragi who after spilling coke on his computer and going to the mall meets the Mekakushi Dan who are a bunch of kids with weird eye powers.

Mekakucity actors is apart of a multi media series called the Kagerou project which started in 2012 with the Voclaoid song Jinzou enemy created by JIN also known as Shizen no Teki-P.

Mekakucity actors being apart of a multi media series is the reason why it’s so confusing because it’s not a stand alone anime, the anime expects you to have knowledge of the series already.

The kagerou project consist of:
Kagerou daze (Manga)
Kagerou daze (Light novel)
30 vocaloid songs with visuals by Shidu and Wannyanpoo
Kagerou daze ~ in a days ~ (OVA)
And of course Mekakucity actors (Anime)
And some Anthology comics which are just some fun comics

Now I bet you’re wondering, but isn’t the anime an adaptation of the manga? Isn’t the manga just an adaption of the novel?
No they are all separate story’s but they do connect.

The Kagerou project being a Multi media series doesn’t tell it’s story as normal, it makes you piece the puzzle together. All the media is important for the story and for it to all make sense and It seems very confusing but i promise you it’s not as confusing as it seems.
