I& #39;ll drink water first and take a breather before gathering my final thoughts.

This novel is pretty good. Undoubtedly great. Despite some loopholes that I personally felt, this book is still really great.

I& #39;ll not be commenting on character development bcs there isn& #39;t much to begin with. Other than the one song ci arc near the end, the dream realm that shaken his core personality, and he managed to retrieve back his core personality, which was the bright, cheerful+

and righteous song ci. I think if I were to dwelve more on his character, his major character development was him not being timid anymore since he became powerful and was able to fuse the demon blood in him. And that& #39;s about it.

I originally detested his sense of righteousness bcs I did not agree with how he dealt with sun yunniang arc. He didn& #39;t let her k1ll the scornful husband of hers before dispersing her soul. Which I was mad about. But that& #39;s about it.

I might be pointing out the loopholes a lot more than why I loved it bcs it felt very vivid to me. Although I& #39;m personally not sure if it& #39;s indeed the loopholes, or me misunderstanding things due to devouring one arc after another in one sitting, or the author originally+

+planned it this way.
[MAJOR SPOILER OF FDCM] The one thing that& #39;s felt the most personally was the song ci pre eating the fruit and the demon song ci.

[MAJOR SPOILER] I feel like the life of rong bai and song ci before demon song ci were quite a blur? human song ci must have had a life before that event (which was indeed explained) and so have rong bai. I mean, let& #39;s say song ci would never encounter the fruit.

then what originally happened during the divine hunt meet? What happened with rong bai during his bethrothal? Was song ci an incarnation then who originally existed in that ancient time, even without the existence of the fruit, or was his life completely unlinked to rong bai?

[Spoiler] Like the og divine hunt, rb was not the one who k1lled the beast, which led me to think that song ci originally did not exist back then and only an existence in the present time. Or maybe he did exist, it& #39;s just that he never once encountered rong bai in this time.

[Spoiler] which would have still proven my point to be true that their life was never linked until the fruit which had rong bai divine& #39;s blood in it. Which meant that he had scattered his soul for a completely different reason.

[Spoiler] I& #39;m very much aware that I might be missing somethjng and that I might have to read again but before song ci jumped into yin yang reversal, rb had already scattered his soul. And for what reason did he scatter his soul? (the og timeline i mean)

[Spoiler] song ci jumping into yin yang reversal was him changing he reason as to why rong bai would even scatter his soul. And if my guess was right that their life was never linked pre demon song ci, then just as yan song said, the fruit+

[Spoiler] completely gave him a new life, a new fate that would bound him to rong bai, and a new reason for rong bai to keep on living. Which means pre demon fruit, rong bai was a walking empty shell, he was empty and he had no one that he cherished. For more than thousands of+

years, his life was a blur and a vivid black and white until song ci ate that demon fruit. They were originally unfated, until song ci decided to leave his old life and gained a new one. And I personally think the writing of this is both a weakness and strength.

Moving on to another thing, I seemed to read a comment on novelupdate that this novel was anti climatic which made them unsatisfied. And this comment almost, ALMOST, stopped me from reading bcs of how negative it was. But I& #39;m glad I didn& #39;t and chose to read this.

I personally think that the anti climatic ending, with the sequence of events and consideration of characters, had to happen. It& #39;s written to happen this way. See, Rong bai and the pure bloodline of tu shan divine clan in general was currently the strongest in the world.

With Lou Muge having yet to appear. Moreover he succeeded to fuse his scattered souls into one again. It was written over and over again that him and his divine blood was the strongest. So naturally, no one in the divine realm, not even the subpar tu shan lian, would match+

+up to rong bai& #39;s power. She couldn& #39;t even win against a nine tailed song ci let alone rong bai. This book is a series of world that the author builds up anyway, I& #39;m pretty sure if you read the whole world of the series you& #39;d understand more as to why fdcm has anti climatic end.

Oh I forgot. One more thing I personally find a bit lacking is the pacing of this book. Like it jumps from one arc to another without a fluff chapter or two. I feel like if there were more fluff scenes in between it could& #39;ve made me more interested before jumping to another arc.

So what happened was once I finished an arc, I& #39;d be completely out of the fdcm world bcs nothing has me tied to it which made me feel pretty bored when reading the start of another arc. But I also understand that with rong bai& #39;s personality in the early chapters+

+it might probably be impossible to write saccharine fluff scenes some more, and you could only write so much in a 101 chapters book.

I think that& #39;s all I wanna say about fdcm. All in all, despite the lacking bits I pointed out that I personally felt, this book is really really good and the arcs are actually interesting once I& #39;m into the premise. So my personal score for fdcm is 8.4/10.

It was a great read and I& #39;m pretty satisfied with everything. And if anyone wants to then please read this book. This book is a series of love stories but it& #39;s really really great
