What helped me get through hypothyroidism
1) Thank God, my glands were clean so my doc wasn't keen on giving me medication. I had to work it through my diet and lifestyle changes.
2) if you have hyperthyroidism your iodine, VitD and calcium and are going to go extremely low or vice versa.
This didn't allow me to workout like a normal person of my age would do. I would get tired easily and was feeling acute pain in my joints.
3) I started of with yoga and meditation which helped me a lot with my mood swings. Recommend 💯. Praying was anyway there :)
4) I started walking because any other form of exercise was giving me extreme joint pains or making me very tired for a full day of office's work. I would walk between 6-8 kms everyday. These walking apps works very well.
5) supplements - I ate a lot of salt
Drank a lot of water (5 litres at least everyday)
Was taking vitD, omega, calcium, vitC and biotin for my hair.
All the supplements can make you shit a lot ( it's gonna be okay)
6) diet - I had to stop anything to do with soy
Nuts
Millets were a biiiiig no
Wheat was allowed not more than thrice in a weak
Which made me go to rice but in extremely small portions as I had to try and lose weight.
Cabbages, legumes, peanuts ( đŸ˜â€ïž) , cauliflower, lettuce, beans - BIG no.
All of this and constant monitoring from my doc.
Free from it but still hasn't changed my lifestyle.
