it’s october 2021. you left the minecraft youtuber fandom some time ago already, about five months ago, after you became exhausted with twitter drama and felt the streams and videos didn’t feel the same. yes, you left the friends you made on twitter, but you’ve moved on. one
cold day, you’re bored and at your house alone, asking yourself why are you so bored. “what did i use to do to entretain myself? i literally spent half of 2020 trapped inside-“. memories of quarantine start popping back in, and you start recalling how happy you felt with a
stream notification, or how proud you felt that you had gotten a notice on twitter. you remember everything, from the first manhunt video to the last stream you watched. out of curiosity and having nothing else to do, you decide to log back into your fan account after
all this time. you get overwhelmed by so much information. so much has happened since you were gone, so many new people blew up on twitter, so many new pictures and facecams of the dream team, including all members of it... you close the app. you were in there for two minutes,
and yet it seemed exhausting. but, before thinking twice, you open it again and pop in in your old groupchat. seems like a lot has changed: lots of people left, lots of people moved on, and new people were added. but yet, your old friends are there right now, talking to each
other, as if nothing had changed. memories of discord calls, game nights, rants, weird talks, drama talks, stories told and feelings shared start flooding your head. doubting, you type a simple “hi”. chat goes silent for a second and then, to your suprise, they’re incredibly
happy to see you again. as they tell you what you missed all this time, you feel a mix of nostalgia and happiness invade you. now you can clearly see why that was one of the happiest times you lived.
