I’m obsessed with restoring Democracy, defeating our would-be-fascist President and making sure #EveryVoteCounts.

So, I’m going on a journey. State by state.

Everything you need to vote mail/absentee (with help from the fantastic @CaraPosey).

Now up… #Maine. #PleasePassItOn
Maine makes voting absentee pretty straightforward.
You don't need to have a reason--anyone can do it…which is how we like it!

Deadline to register: 10/13
Deadline to register Absentee/Vote By Mail: 10/31
Early Voting: 10/3-10/29
OK, now absentee/voting by mail…

Link to register absentee: https://maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/upcoming/index.html

And more info about registering to vote here: https://maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/voter-info/votreg.html

Best way to check on your registration/absentee ballot is to contact your local clerk here: https://maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/munic.html
Absentee ballots will be provided after 10/3. Cast your vote by signing and mailing the ballot back to the board of elections the SAME DAY.

Each town may have drop boxes or may not--it's not uniform. Contact the local clerk to find out here: https://maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/munic.html
Ballots must be RECEIVED by 8pm on 11/3. Not mailed RECEIVED. So, If you are mailing them in, allow at least 7-10 days.

And again, if it is getting late - think mid-October - drop it off, here: https://maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/munic.html

OK, now some queries for those in Maine.

Have I made any mistakes?
Do you know something I don’t?

Also @kennedycasting is making a shareable spreadsheet for ALL states, once we get to the end of this odyssey.
