Short thread about why I like my job even though I complain about it.

It was 2016 and I had been looking for any kind of job atfer graduating community college with an associate's degree in Web Technologies.

I had been apart of vocational rehab since 09.
I had a call in 2015 asking if I needed help finding work. I said no.

That was one of my biggest mistakes because I couldn't find work by myself or with my mom help until a year later.

Got a job coach who help me find a few places to work with my no experience.
2017 rolls around and she help me get in contact with the place I work at still.

But before I could go to work with them I suffered a hernia and my 1st ever surgery to fix it with no insurance in April of '17.

It took me until May before I was clear to start working.
I started on June 12 with 4 other people who were new to the job.

When I started working I couldn't start any of the EQ by myself but slowly over 30 days I was able to.

The 1st thing I was able to start was the edger tool.
Then the blower and finally was able to crac the weed whacker by myself.

It was tiring work but I managed to succeed quite well.

I became know as edger boy due to my skills.

Then in 2018 I got an award for being the most improved employee in a year.
I am still proud about that.

Was also able to pay off my Medical bills for the surgery in March of '18.

Then '19 came in. Due to personal issues I had to pay off a different debt.

Was starting to pay it off when I got a call from HR.
HR inform me that my proof of my ADD was outdated and I needed to prove that I still have it or risk being laid off

This happened in August of last year.

Short version I did prove that I had ADHD and KEEP MY JOB!
I was able to pay off the other debt and it was good until February of this year when something very shocking happened to my mom and I was forced to be independent very quickly.

Then the virus happened too.
Short version I had to learn how to adult while being worried about my mom and still working until things improve.

I have dealt with it well considering how shelter I am.

And I still work.

End of thread and here is some for making it this far.

Thanks for listening
