The issue with turning Cas into an ally is that you can't have a super powerful being as a friend, because that would have made things super easy for the boys, motw episodes wouldn't have worked anymore, not when you have an angel on your side --> and bye bye show
(1/5)

But they actually managed to work around it until Dabb took over... and what once was a powerful, interesting, layered & complicated character became a completely useless, powerless, almost child-like angel who keeps fucking up ALL. the. time. (2/5)
Sam is boring. There's nothing interesting or relevant about him now. He rebelled against John, he was driven to get revenge for Jessica, he had visions and demon powers... where's all that now? Zzz (3/5)
Dean is no longer multilayered and complex and smart... he became the comedic relief, the idiot, the one to blame for everything because of his "anger management issues", his trauma is never addressed. (4/5)
Dabb turned them all into stereotyped cartoon versions of themselves.
So basically, what I'm trying to say is: FUCK HIM for ruining my favorite show. (5/5)

You know what's also sad? I used to stop whatever I was doing to watch the new episodes live in whichever low quality stream I could find. Now I can't even be bothered to finish watching season 14...
Ok so apparently to some my opinion is "insincere" or I wanted people to "take my Dean whining seriously" (lol what?) and I don't want any misunderstandings here.
I've been a Dean girl since the beginning & never cared much about Sam, but back in early seasons -

I can see why some would prefer him, he was a well established character, but now the writing is so bad he's become incredibly bland. And it's not due to a lack of Sam storylines...
Regarding Cas, I liked him. And I don't think him becoming an ally was a bad decision. -

Of course, as I said, they HAD to find ways to make him less powerful for it to work. Unfortunately, none of the people in charge after season 5 were Kripke (especially not AD), and it shows. -
My point with this thread, other than to rant because I was hella mad, was that all three (and the show as a whole) have suffered under Dabb's era, no matter who your favorite is.
I hate he's the one in charge of the final season.

And that's ALL I'm gonna say on this. I don't hate anyone, but Dean and Jensen are the only reasons I'm here. Sorry not sorry if you have a problem with that
