Cognitive proles know this is a status game they cannot win, within which they have no hope to advance, so they prefer plain old capitalism where, even if it is a long shot, they may just by pure gumption or dumb luck make it and ascend the status hierarchy

By contrast the cognitive status game aggressively filters out all luck or hard work. If you are too dumb, there is simply no way that you as a cognitive prole will luck or brute force your way into the cognitive elite. If you don't have the infrastructure, you are fucked, 100%

A good illustrative point is the Chapo penchant for making fun of flyover country people who own car/jet ski dealerships

Cognitive proles can definitely see themselves becoming one of those people, but not some Person with a PhD who can quote Bataille on the spot

So the question becomes, is it preferable to live in a ruthlessly capitalist system where you may be exposed to want but have a shot at moving up the status hierarchy, or one where you are free from all want but also condemned to be an untouchable forever as far as status goes?
