Hi. I'm Type A. Best way to work with those of us who are:

We need to know processes and we need systems. If we know the HOW, we will ask fewer questions.

Project needs to get done? What is the PATH to it? If we don't know, we might drive you crazy w/ questions.
Those of us who are Type A can come across as micromanaging. We have to step back and trust people we lead or work with. We also must communicate what we need.

I know I NEED systems. So I tell my team that a lot. Gimme templates so we don't reinvent wheels.
If your boss is Type A, one of the best things you can do is:

* Give regular (doesn't mean daily) status reports
* Create systems and templates
* Stick to deadlines and ask for extensions when you can't
