I don't have a metric for this, but I can say fairly confidently that Drew Rasmussen is the happiest call-up I've ever seen. Any why not be bursting with joy after overcoming two Tommy John surgeries to get into pro ball and all the way to the big leagues.
He got the news from Jim Henderson, the former Brewers closer who is helping to run the Appleton camp. Rasmussen's reaction: "Joy. Disbelief, a little bit. It didn't really hit me at first."
Among Rasmussen's phone calls after he got the call-up: His parents, who cried; his future in-laws, who have known him for six years, through both TJs; and former Oregon State head coach Pat Casey and pitching coach Nate Yeskie, to say thanks for the help.
