since goys keep throwing around the word “anti-semitic” and “zionist”

let a jew break it down for you
[thread]
criticizing the israeli gov ≠ anti-semitic

while yes the israeli gov is mostly jewish, their actions are not representive of all jews or israeli.

this is the same as criticizing china’s goverment for their actions, but not the chinese people.
jewish ≠ israeli

most jews do not live in israel and therefore do not elect israeli goverment officials.
THAT BEING SAID

it is important to remember not to demonize a whole country for the politcal beliefs of some.

thats like blaming all americans for american involvement in the middle east
anti-zionist ≠ anti-semetic

zionism exists in regard to the belief that jews need their own land (which was promised in the torah). this is more geo-political than it is religious.
being jewish ≠ zionist

some jews don’t believe in the idea of a jewish state, and that is ok
zionism ≠ anti-palestine

you can support both at once! just because you believe in the idea of a jewish state doesn’t mean that you should support hurting palestinians as well.
zionism ≠ supporting the israeli goverment

you can support the idea of a country while criticizing the actions of its actions. (see america for example)
being a zionist ≠ not anti-semetic

lots of politicians often claim to be supporting the jewish community because they support israel. this does not mean they cannot make anti-semetic statements or claims.
hopefully this clears up some misconceptions.

also note: antisemitism is not a right/left issue, it exists on both sides of the political spectrum.
