Bandanas were used around the head by old school chicanas.

Paliacates/bandanas apart from being used as accessories for tradicional clothing, are used for simpler things like for wiping sweat, covering the mouth and nose, keeping hair from the face, etc.
They even come in different colors and are mass produced.

And even so, the fabric and print Hwasa was wearing IS NOT ONE of the prints and styles above.
