Twitter has a way of breeding egomaniacs: (a thread)

Twitter is a free site and for better or worse it is a place many people want to visit just to escape. To tell jokes and have fun. Not one person here owes any other person here anything. People are free to tweet...
what they want, retweet what they want, like what they want. Nothing is promised here and it shouldn’t be. There is a culture here of people bullying others or trying to guilt trip them into engagement and it’s ugly and horrible and unfair to people who need this escape...
And I’m sure many of you have ran into a few people like this. I know I have. I know my friends have and the sad part is it isn’t going to stop. On the other side of that coin though, you don’t have to bother with those people. You can cut them right out, there’s nothing...
that says you can’t. And honestly you should for your own mental health. Will those people eventually see the writing on the wall and stop? Probably not more people sign up every day. But you can get it out of your life. I promise you’ll feel better.
You control your own happiness in this place, don’t let others tell you you’re doing it wrong or you owe them, you don’t. This is your space, use it how you wish and have fun. Treat others well and they’ll do the same. Sounds simple because it is. After all it’s your name...
at the end of the day. Just be the person you want the world to see and let the others sort themselves out. We will be the ones that last. Not them. I’m greatful for all of you, just had to get that off my (and many other people’s) chest. Whiskey time
