The last thing that you can do to ensure a successful launch is to get on other podcasts.

Find other shows with a similar niche and audience to yours and reach out to the host.

Show them the success of your show and even offer an interview swap (if doing 1-on-1 interviews).
Getting on other podcasts exposes you to an entirely new audience.

Some may jive with you and some may not. Regardless, it& #39;s one of the quickest ways to grow your amount of listeners.
6. Outreach to potential guest or podcast host

There are three ways to reach out to a guest or host:

a. Cold Email
b. Social Media DMs
c. Referral/Intro

My favorite initial question to ask is, "are you keen on discussing a potential interview on each other& #39;s shows?"
When reaching out to someone for the first time, always remember these key things:

a. Do your research and make your initial message specific and personal to each person

b. Use credibility from your podcast (i.e. amount of downloads, listeners, chart position, etc)
c. Put a calendar link in your initial message. Don& #39;t make them do too much work. If they are interested, they will take the necessary next steps.

d. (optional) send them a media kit that explains who you are, what you do, and why you are important.
7. MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR PODCAST

Twitter only allows 25 tweets per thread and this is the section I know you are most excited about.

I will do my best to provide enough value here as I can.

It& #39;s also important to note that value always comes before money. Podcasts included.
A. Promoting your own products/services

The lowest hanging fruit is to plug your business as much as possible WITHOUT exhausting your listeners.

Send them to:

- A PDF download
- Online Course
- Your service website
- A physical product page

If all else fails, collect emails
B. Affiliate Relationships

This option is promoting another company& #39;s products or services. You get paid for every new customer you bring to them.

There are so many resources on affiliate marketing. For the sake of this thread, I will highlight the important stuff.
a. The relationship has to be a win for your audience
b. The relationship has to be a win for the affiliate
c. The relationship has to be a win for your business
d. Ensure you are partnering with someone you know, like, and trust.
e. Are you getting a percentage or flat fee?
C. Sponsorships & Paid Advertisements

This is the least beneficial route to go for monetization IN THE BEGINNING.

Typically companies that have similar customers as your listeners follow the CPM metric (cost per 1,000 listeners). You need a large audience to make "real money."
My advice would be to focus on the quality of your content so that sponsors are coming to you instead of you seeking them out.

Better content = more listeners = higher iTunes/Spotify ranking = more opportunity = sponsorship $$$
If you are impatient, simply just email your potential sponsors.

Include in your email:

a. Who your audience is
b. Show stats (# of downloads, listeners, etc)
c. Detailed proposal (w/ # of spots, cost per spot, how long you want them to sponsor)
D. Getting your listeners to take action on your offer

Getting podcast listeners to take action is more difficult than getting someone to take action on a website or landing page.

A podcast has to be more strategic.
Important things to include:

a. Direct your listeners to your show notes
b. Link to your offer in your show notes
c. Tell them the exact URL to go to in your episode
