everytime i see that chess meme about the "smart kid wondering why i'm winning vs me eating his pieces while he's not looking", i always start looking at the size of the pieces in comparison to the dog/person because it's like.. it's gotta hurt right? if the pieces are too big—

then there's no way they're going down easy or fast enough for the other guy not to notice. but if they're like tiny, you can pop them into your mouth really quickly and swallow them like they're nothing. but like if they're big, you can always chew them so they break into—

smaller pieces then swallow them bit by bit like you're eating candy?

this raises a question, how often is the smart kid looking away if you can just keep nabbing the pieces to eat? do you just have a quick hand, or is the smart kid genuinely looking away That much?—

when i'm playing chess, i only look away to get water or close my eyes to think. but it's not that frequent. even when i get water, i keep my eyes in the board. when i close my eyes—

it's only on MY turn so i know what piece is where and can think about my next move. how often is this "smart kid" looking completely away so the other person can sneak pieces into their mouth??

track of all your pieces. i think most people would notice pieces just disappearing. if the other person was really beating pieces off the board, they would have put them next to them, off to the side. that's just how it's done. HOW DO YOU NOT NOTICE ALL THE MISSING PIECES?? —

it actually makes some shuffling noises depending on your board and the pieces! this makes me feel insane, how do you just. let someone EAT the chess pieces. huh, how does that work. i don't want to think about this anymore, this thread ends here (hopefully)
