Yes, it exists. YES, I ship it and going to explain why. PLEASE DON’T REPLY BEFORE READING THE WHOLE THREAD. DON'T BULLY ME. Be kind, I'm a human too.

Well, many people don't like the fact that Blightcest exists. They say it's disgusting and bully the shippers. I was trying to figure out why.
Incest is a taboo in our society. The idea that this is wrong and disgusting has been hammered into our heads since childhood.

That's the answer. My opinion:
Adult people(!) who have their own minds(!) can do WHATEVER THEY WANT but they must remember a few rules(!!):
1) The person is old enough to understand what they are doing. They can give active consent to any activity

2) The person is ready to take responsibility for their actions.
3) All participants in the event (incest) agree to do so. No one is forced.
4) The person doesn't encroach on someone else's freedom of action.
What do I mean?

Blightcest HAS the right to exist as long as these rules are followed.

All people are different, we all like different pairings. I don't really like some pairings (also in TOH fandom), but I don't even think about hating them and bully shippers. I respect other people's opinions, freedom and tastes until it turns into a war.

For example, I like Vinira. What's the base of Vinira? Theories? They didn't even meet each other in the Canon! In this regard Blightcest has much more strong base for shippering (after all they have always been together). But you hate Blightcest and love Vinira for some reason.

I'm not trying to say I don't like Vinira. I'm ready to ship it if there is a base, development of relationship, a deep emotional connection between Emira and Viney. On the same principle I ship Blightcest (I like different pairings at the same time, there is nothing wrong)

REMEMBER. Blightcest ISN'T dumb NSFW pictures you accidentally saw in the Internet and immediately puked. This is their story, their incredible dynamics, their shared memories. Their love.

What about NSFW content? Well, the r-34 exists, and I'm not happy about it. No matter how hard we try, we can't deactivate the "If it exists, there is porn of it" law.

People who ship Blightcest just bc of the kink are a shame for the fandom. Most of the content now is porn. It really upsets me bc it ruins your opinion on Blightcest even more.

If we take the TOH universe with it's ways and customs: the moral values of the Boiling Isles may differ from the Earthly ones. The twins may be older and smarter to become a couple. Their relationship can be stronger than any hatred you pour on them.

I say right away that I am AGAINST biological children of incest couples. It’s dangerous for the child and parents. I don't support it.

But if it's just about a strong romantic relationship, why do you think you can hate it so calmly? I'm saddened how people rush at shippers with torches and pitchforks without understanding the concept and emotional component of pairing.

I saw cute arts with twins. I read wonderful fanfics about crazy chemistry between Edric and Emira. I kiss the foreheads of everyone who tries to make a decent content even if it may be hated at any moment, regardless of how incredible it is. I support all of you!

Do you still hate Blightcest for the fact that Emira and Edriс – siblings? Ok. But me and a few other people won't do it bc of your "ew". Blightcest ISN'T disgusting NSFW content that sexualizes minors. It ISN’T a kink. It's something soft and special for me.

I LOVE this pairing and think it deserves better than "BLIGHTCEST EXISTS MY EYES I HATE TWITTER I SHIT IN SHIPPERS' BEDS". I can make arts, comics, animatics or write fanfics to develop their healthy and loving relationship. I'LL PROVE that this couple has the right to exist.

Put yourself in my shoes. For example, remember that in the 21st century there are people who still hate LGBT and call them sick bс the conservative older generation said so.

"These things are different"? Homophobes hate the couple for it's concept and people who support it bc they (homophobes) have stereotypes about "sick homosexuals" in their minds. "Incest babies are born sick bc of BIOLOGY"? I repeat that I am against children of incest!!

I don't need NSFW content to love Blightcest. I just want a little more recognition for two cute characters who can still love each other without sex or children.

If you STILL don't believe in my sincere and pure love for Blightcest then think of me spending a few days of my life writing a thread in a non-native language that will probably make me a public enemy (and will make a lot of people hate me,,,)

I support any healthy relationships regardless of who the people in the relationship are, BUT.
IMHO UNACCEPTABLE THINGS IN ANY PAIRINGS: zoophilia, pedophilia, necrophilia, very toxic relationship, lack of consent.

Incest has many variations. Incest that involves young children is UNACCEPTABLE bc children CAN'T give informed consent and take responsibility for their actions. Incest of two ADULTS who agree to this relationship and ready to meet the consequences is n o r m a l.

It's unusual for people like us (who grew up in this society), but adults with their own minds can do anything to make themselves happy (as long as their actions don't harm others in any way).

If you don't like my opinion you can unsubscribe. No bullying, no wars, no cringy NSFW arts with minors. I appreciate love, support and quiet discussions in here.
I want to love this charming couple openly without fear of being hunted. All Blightcest shippers want.

If you're still going to bully me, don't do it. I don't bully anyone for their preferences. I don't want to waste my and your energy on senseless worries.
