the first section is very stereo and tranquil. while the lyrics suggest doubt about the future due to isolation, i attempted to make it clear that everything was going rather smoothly through the sound design. the lack of instrumentation is intended to represent loneliness.
𝐢𝐢.
the song swiftly turns into a more fast-paced punk-inspired rap, representing how i began to experience a writer& #39;s block from trapping myself in my own mind, and did everything i could to push myself to continue creating despite every fiber in my body telling me not to.
𝐢𝐢 (𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝).
devoting my life to music and practically worshipping my daw had a massive toll on my mental health, and i attempted to represent that in the main drop.
𝐢𝐢𝐢.
the harsh future bass drop and its lyrics signify how i practically blew up. i attempted to display the sheer doubt and raw emotion resulting from my prior decision to push myself beyond my limits.
𝐢𝐯.
this transitions into a soft, sine wave bell section. the lack of extra instrumentation is reminiscent of the zero progress i had made by pushing myself beyond my limits, and that in the end, i was still just as isolated and, was frankly set back by my actions.
𝐞𝐭𝐜.
from here on out i learned to take it slower and pace myself, which evidently worked, as i wouldn& #39;t be here if it hadn& #39;t, sharing my story through the very medium that tore me to shreds.
