My thoughts on the recent episode and how everything played out and the possibilities of the story:
WARNING FOR EPISODE 5 SPOILERS

Daisuke stating he has no intention of inheriting.
Tying into the very first episode of him talking about his life, which could possibly mean something happened either after or before his parents& #39; death-
-which made him resolutely believe he personally will never (willingly) choose to inherit the family.
Grandma Kambe obviously still keeps a very close eye on him, either because believing he will inherit whether he wants to or not, or simply looking out for her grandchild.

Suzue. Their relationship is complicated, but she clearly loves him. We& #39;ve yet to see any reaction (?) from his side, other than the natto episode of him preparing food for her. But we could assume they grew up together considering how close Suzue feels the need to be with him?
Suzue is not directly related. Not his blood sister, but a Kambe nonetheless.
Cousin? Someone close enough to the bloodline and living within the main estate, also close with grandmother Kambe (?) which could possibly mean she was brought in from a branch family (?)

I& #39;m putting bets on the fact she was brought in to "replace" Daisuke as heir, considering how obstinate he is and has shown himself to be.
Daisuke still holds importance within the family. With the fact he was chosen in place of the grandmother being ill to represent the family, which means he& #39;s part of the main house and grandma Kambe does want him to inherit despite him saying otherwise.
The HEUSC issue. Scares me honestly.
It makes it very apparent that, yes, Daisuke is a Kambe. But he hasn& #39;t risen to the position where everything in the family is an open book for him.

The Kambe& #39;s are holding secrets, probably secrets that he& #39;ll only ever know if on the condition he becomes heir.
Which? Begs the question of how much more Daisuke not know? Or is "not in the need" to know?

Daisuke was in a life-or-death situation, and surely there must have been someone to override that? Was HEUSC, an AI programmed to serve the Kambes, putting priority over this knowledge in favour of Daisuke& #39;s wellbeing?
Cho-san& #39;s relationship to Daisuke. To some extent, we have to assume they know each other, but to what degree?
In summary, this episode was an eye-opener and absolutely refreshing to watch. They& #39;ve given us plenty to chew on and I& #39;m excited about the coming episodes!

Additional thought as I just woke up!
I see many mentions of people saying how shocked/surprised Daisuke looks when HEUSC responds, I see it more as annoyance? I have no doubt that Daisuke is aware that HEUSC won& #39;t give him everything—

—I can only guess at the time he was annoyed that HEUSC was choosing not to give him information right then, as I said above, because HEUSC was programmed to prioritize certain delicate information over Daisuke& #39;s wellbeing.
